About Us

We have constructed a program that focuses on the development of a more complete athlete. If we spend years developing a young athlete and they aren't academically sound, we have failed that child. If they lack character and make bad life choices, we have failed. There are more elements that contribute to the success or failure of an athlete than just physical development. We have seven areas of focus that we feel contribute to the whole; Academics, Character Development, Sport Psychology, Nutrition, Strength, Speed and Agility, and Sport Specific Fundamentals.

We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 committed to the development of the youth in Southern California. There are many elements that come together to produce the most competitive and unique sports environment in the world. Infrastructure, mass suburbs, large municipalities and endless sunshine provide the setting for year around baseball, soccer, basketball, and motocross. The sheer number of athletes is another element in the competitive equation. Barry Switzer commented that "Pete Carroll drives past more football players on his way to work than live in the whole state of Nebraska."
Our program has a limited number of spaces available. The entry criteria has more to do with desire and commitment than a persons current physical ability. Athleticism, technique, speed... can be developed. Discipline and heart will get you into Zion Athletic. For every gifted youth athlete you see, behind the scenes I'll show you a driven parent, a single moms sacrifice, a coach, ...someone who took the time and cared. It doesn't just happen. We are building relationships with athletes and their families one at a time.

Check out the article on Temperance in this weeks Character Development section." To be successful we must closely guard and monitor the three T’s. Our Thoughts, our Temper, and our Tongue. With these three in check we will have few regrets."

Speed and Agility will be run in the mornings starting Dec.1st .

We would like  thank everyone  who contributed to a great football season.

The football skills and conditioning program is Saturdays at 8 am. Half shells and helmets. You must be scheduled and cleared to attend.

There will be an Introduction to Youth Quarterback class available in December. This class will focus on the skills needed at the younger ages to excel at this position.
